Repiping · We install & service Uponor PEX
Whole-home and partial repipes using Uponor PEX-A pipe and expansion fittings. Licensed, insured and bonded, CSLB #1156315. Open 24/7.
Many East Bay homes still run on galvanized pipe that's rusting from the inside, or copper that's started pinhole leaking. Repiping replaces the supply lines so you stop chasing leaks one at a time.
For most repipes we use Uponor PEX-A with expansion fittings. The pipe is flexible, so it runs through walls and attics with fewer openings, and the fittings are full-flow so you don't lose pressure at every joint.
With expansion fittings, the pipe is widened, slipped over the fitting and shrinks back tight. That makes a joint as wide as the pipe itself, instead of a crimp fitting that narrows the flow. Fewer joints and a flexible pipe also mean fewer walls opened during the job.
We install and service Uponor PEX products. Friendly Services is an independent plumbing company; brand names belong to their owners.

It depends on the house size, number of fixtures and access. We give a free in-home estimate with a written price before any work starts.
Both work well. PEX-A usually costs less and goes in with fewer wall openings; some owners still prefer copper and we install both.
