Terms of Service

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Before you publish: have a California attorney review this page — a five-year workmanship warranty is a real, enforceable commitment and worth a second set of eyes. This is not legal advice.

Who we are

Friendly Services East Bay is a licensed plumbing and home services contractor based at 773 W A Street, Hayward, California, holding California Contractors State License Board license #1156315. These terms apply to your use of friendlyservicesteam.com and to services we perform for you.

Where you sign a separate written contract, estimate, or work order for a specific job, that document controls if it conflicts with anything here.

Using this website

Content on this site is provided for general information about our services. Descriptions of work, timelines, and availability are general and not a guarantee for your specific property. Submitting a form or booking online is a request for service — it becomes an appointment when we confirm it.

The site, its text, images, and logo are our property or used with permission. Don't copy or reuse them without written permission.

Estimates and pricing

Scheduling, arrival, and cancellation

Property access and preparation

Permits, code, and existing conditions

Some work requires a permit and inspection from your city or county. Where a permit is required, we tell you, and permit and inspection fees are billed in addition to the quoted work unless the estimate states otherwise.

We are responsible for the work we perform. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, prior work done by others, or code violations that existed before we arrived — though we will point them out when we see them.

Payment

Warranty

We warranty our workmanship for five years from the date the work is completed. If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did the work, call us and we will come back and make it right at no charge for labor covered by this warranty.

What's covered

What's not covered

How to make a claim

Call (510) 626-9773 with the address and approximate date of the original work. This warranty runs to the customer who paid for the work and to the property, and does not require the original invoice, though it helps.

California law sets minimum standards for contractor work regardless of what a written warranty says. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under California law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our liability for any claim relating to work we performed is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost income, lost use of the property, or damage caused by conditions that existed before we arrived.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for personal injury caused by negligence.

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If we can't resolve a dispute directly, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

If you have a complaint about our work that we can't resolve together, you may contact the California Contractors State License Board at cslb.ca.gov or 1-800-321-CSLB.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Terms in effect when you approved a job apply to that job.
