Garbage disposals,installed same visit.

Standard and heavy-duty units, installed while we're there. Old unit removed and taken away.

Repair or replace?

Sometimes a disposal that won't turn is just jammed, and that's a five-minute fix, not a replacement. We'll try that first. If the motor has gone or the housing is leaking, replacement is the answer.

A leak from the bottom of the unit means the internal seal has failed — that one is always a replacement.

Choosing horsepower

  • 1/3 to 1/2 HP — fine for light use in a smaller household
  • 3/4 HP — the sensible default for most families; handles more without jamming
  • 1 HP — for heavy use, or if you'd rather never think about it again

Quieter models cost more and are noticeably better if your kitchen is open to a living space.

What's included

The unit, installation, removal of the old one, and checking the drain connection while we're under there — a disposal that keeps backing up is often a drain problem rather than a disposal problem.

Our installation promise

Every price covers a standard installation — equipment installed or replaced where the existing water, gas, electrical and venting are already in place and to code.

What we commit to

  • If your setup needs work beyond the standard install, we tell you before we start — the difference in writing, for you to approve
  • If you'd rather not proceed at that point, you cancel and we refund in full
  • Five-year warranty on our workmanship
  • Full manufacturer warranty on the equipment — we're an authorized dealer, and we handle the claims for you
  • Permit pulled and inspection met where the work requires it
  • Old equipment hauled away and the area left clean

What we ask from you

  • Accurate information about your setup when you order — fuel type, location, and anything unusual about access
  • Clear access to the work area, with pets secured, on the scheduled day
  • Someone 18 or over at the property to approve the work and accept the install
  • At least 24 hours' notice to reschedule, so the slot can go to someone else
  • Payment on completion, as agreed before we started

Special-order equipment is ordered specifically for you, so cancellations after it ships may carry the supplier's restocking fee. We'll tell you before ordering if that applies.

Short version: no surprises from us, no surprises from you.

Garbage Disposals questions

Can you install one where there isn't one now?

Usually yes, but it needs an electrical supply and the right drain configuration. Tell us when you call and we'll check.

How long does it take?

Most replacements take under an hour.

Why does my disposal keep backing up?

Often the drain line rather than the disposal. We check both.

What can't go down a disposal?

Grease, coffee grounds, fibrous vegetable peels, and bones. Grease is the one that causes the most drain calls.
